This exhibition and events programme brings together the work of the twelve graduating students from MA Sound Arts, London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. Constantly Evolving But Never Ending is an opportunity to encounter a rich diversity of emerging practices from the MA Sound Arts course, now in its seventh year. The course exists in the context of groundbreaking research into sound arts that takes place at the UAL research centre CRiSAP (Creative Research into Sound Arts Practice). At a time when sound works are increasingly entering mainstream institutions, and generating a growing body of critical writing, LCC and CRiSAP continue to be at the international forefront of this work.

The exhibition takes its title from a comment made by one of the exhibiting artists in reference to her listening practice, and seeks to more widely underline the place of process in sonic practice, not least the evolution experienced in such a period of study; the suspending of habits, doubt and the never-knowing. The exhibition includes performance, sound, video and installation in works that embrace critical interests as varied as the feminist ethics of care, and speculative realism in relation to geometry.

Symposium: Sunday 7th December, 2pm

The symposium will focus on the place of research in creative practice, with talks from Lisa Busby and Mark Peter Wright, as well as contributions from the students and  the course leader Salomé Voegelin, chaired by the exhibition's curator Irene Revell. The symposium will also be an opportunity to engage directly with the students' research, through the display of their research posters and through direct conversation, a unique facet of the course.

Please RSVP for the symposium and performance evening: crisap@arts.ac.uk

Performances: Sunday 7th December, 7pm

The symposium will be followed by an evening of performance, including works by Tian Bai, Rebecca E Davies (with Holly Jarvis), Gary Fisher and Emre Yagci.

Please RSVP for the symposium and performance evening: crisap@arts.ac.uk
