Undefinable experimental vocalist, movement artist and composer Elaine Mitchener (‘arguably the UK’s boldest operatic voice’ – The Guardian) makes her second appearance this season with WOMENS WORK, its title taken from the pioneering magazine edited by Fluxus artists Alison Knowles and Annea Lockwood in 1975 and 1978, which featured text-based and instructional performance scores by 25 women artists. The evening’s programme presents contemporary works by today’s women and female-identifying composers, with live stream hosted by CRiSAP Researcher Irene Revell and programme notes written by CRiSAP Researcher Louise Gray.
