I come from a background of music and theology. The gathering of people and the sounds they make greatly interest me, whether it's singing, talking, praying, clapping or laughing.

Pluralising Hearings through Sound Art: Diversifying the reception and response to voiced readings of Christian scripture.
Amartya Sen’s book Identity and Violence was the initial spur to this research. He claims that a singularity of identity, whether religious or otherwise leads to violence. If this is true, I want to know how sacred texts and its reception(s) contribute to this singularity. Through Sound Art practice I want to attempt to pluralise these hearings.
