Listening Across Disciplines: Perspectives on listening with sound artist Jordan Lacey

Read research project Listening Across Disciplines’ interview with Jordan Lacey about how and why he listens in his work:

“Sonic Rupture, a means for introducing sounds into urban spaces”

Jordan Lacey is a sound artist, thinker and occasional provocateur, who spends much of his time imagining new ways societies might relate with their cities.

Listening across Disciplines is a network project that brings together artists, musicians, scientists, technologists and social scientists as well as scholars and practitioners from the humanities, to work across disciplinary boundaries on the recently emerging focus on sound and listening. Led by Dr. Salomé Voegelin (PI), Reader in Sound Arts at the London College of Communication, UAL, and Co-I Dr. Anna Barney, Professor in Biomedical Acoustic Engineering at Southampton University. Funded by AHRC.
