Matt Parker nominated for the Phonugri Nova Award 2018

CRiSAP PhD researcher Matt Parker has been nominated for the Phonugri Nova Award 2018, the oldest event in the field of radio and sound art in France. During a weekend marathon over the 29 and 30 September 2018, six nominated works will be listened to at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, and a live jury will deliberate the winner.

The piece included in this year’s Prix is KEF201C – a composition that is part of Parker’s The People’s Cloud, an ongoing art/doc series exploring the Internet, which investigates the ecology and impact of cloud computing on the lives of those who use it, the places it is physically located in and the people who work to maintain it.
